The many and various ways I pass the time now has a new addition. Usually it involves drinking coffee whilst sitting at a computer keeping in touch with chums, or sipping wine sitting on our tiny terrace catching the sun, and wondering what else I can do to avoid any cleaning or tidying or putting away of stuff and things that aren't even MINE. And now I am going to type this blog. Provided that doesn't become a chore as well, in which case...

    OOHhhh great piccies!! You could enter these on the Less Speak More Peek linky I just set up over at my place. You'll like the piccies there anyway I'm sure.

    Re the earlier comments - yes! The pet shop owner was actually also the breeder so he was a tad miffed when I told him the discovery!! Actually, Saff was always the independent, modern female sort and Em much more introverted and dependent. So if Saff had gone first it might have been a different matter... as it was, I think she rather enjoyed the cage to herself during the "retirement" phase - $-}

    Poor old Em, he was a bit hen-pecked! xx

  2. Oh, I love these birds. They always strike me as a dignified kind of silly...

    1. You are so right, Pearl. They puff themselves up and strut about in a pompous fashon, and then the next moment they are flitting and spinning like a trapeze artist or acrobat. They are some of Nature's clowns, for sure.

      That's why I give them dignified but silly names, I guess. But for Pearl, of course. That is a name no-one could snort or scoff at.
